Ao final da tarde a minha amiga levou-me até Valença e deixou-me no Albergue de S. Teotonio.
Simultaneously, I remembered a dear friend from Porto who I had not seen for a long time, Joana Rosas. I called and I told her about the possibility of visiting her. She replied: "Maria, so do it on April 19! I'm going to Vila Nova de Cerveira."
And so it was! Whoever decided when I would start this adventure was literally my friend 😊
Since no one could join me on that date, I decided to do it myself. I would meet people along the way.I contacted the Association of Friends of the Camino of Santiago, I picked up the Letter of the Peregrine and I asked about the routes and material to take with me.
Yesterday I was excited when I left Lisbon, on a bus that would take 6 hours to leave me in one of the most glamorous towns in Portugal - Vila Nova de Cerveira. My friend Joana was waiting for me and she welcomed me with a big hug.We went to her house, more precisely "Quinta da Motta", located in Gourém. It is so beautiful!
It is located in a privileged place with a incredible view, next to the Minho River.
